Welcome to
Tweens & Teens
The teenage years. Are you dreading them? Finding them challenging already? Do you wish you had a better relationship with your teen? Are you noticing changes and wondering what’s going on in their minds?
You’re definitely not alone! This 3-part course is for parents with children anywhere from 8 to 18 years of age, or anyone with an interest in understanding & helping the teens in their lives. Adolescence is an extraordinary time of development, growth & change for our young people.
As a mother of 3 teenagers, I know the more we can learn about what’s happening in their lives, minds & bodies, the better parents, carers or mentors we can be. Understanding what’s going on for them is the key to showing up for them during this crucial time in their lives, it’s the key to strengthening your relationships, and in this course I will show you how.
*This course is now available as a self-guided course with immediate access to materials and previously recorded live interviews and Q&As for you to read and watch in your own time.
What members are saying…
Annie Messing
Mother of four, subscriber of Tweens & Teens course
“Courtney has gathered together SO much material and done so much research! If you decide to take this course, you will walk away a better parent. I really feel I can confidently say that!”
Sarah Gwonyoma
Single mother, previous subscriber of the Tweens & Teens course
“Courtney’s course was a complete game-changer for me. I felt it was a really safe space to learn how to navigate trickier topics like talking about sex and porn and the darker side of the internet.”
Elizabeth Fuchs
Previous e-course subscriber
“The value is fantastic! The money spent on this course was peanuts compared to the value I received from it. So much information to read and watch!”
“I highly recommend this course!”
“I got so much great information out of this course. I was unsure as my oldest is 8, however I feel better prepared already and almost feel I’m in a better position to start out on the right foot with my 8-year-old as she transitions into tween/teen than some of the parents who are in it already. So thanks and I will certainly recommend this to parents of younger children also.”
“So thankful for this course!”
“The interviews are brilliantly balanced, the PDFs are wonderful, and I love all the thoughtful quotes and ideas on Instagram. You can see how much work has gone into this course, and it is really appreciated. I love having new tools and a deeper understanding of what is happening to our children as we enter this new stage (mine are 11 and 13).”

Frequently asked questions
How old should my children be for this course to be relevant?
This is a course I wish I had taken before any of my children had entered adolescence. Whether you have pre-adolescent children or if you’re in the thick of teenage hood, this course is meant to prepare and support you. I’d say it’s most relevant for parents of children aged 8 to 18, but of course if your kids are a bit younger than that, you will still learn heaps and become well prepared.
How do I access the course materials?
All of the materials have been uploaded to my website and are available for immediate access. You will be able to log in and access the content whenever you have the time. All materials will remain online indefinitely, so there’s no time limit.
It says $150 USD. Can I pay in my own currency?
Yes! You will be charged in your local currency at the current exchange rate. If you are confused how much $150 USD equals in your currency, you can use a website like www.xe.com to show you the conversion.
How much time is required?
This course is now offered as a self-guided course and available for you to go at your own pace. The materials are yours to keep and reference whenever you like. There are three PDFs to read, which are packed with information, tips and resources, as well as dozens of interviews to watch. You can either go through the materials at once, or dip in and out depending on which topics you are most interested in.
How are you qualified to teach this e-course?
I spent a long time pondering that very question. I am not a scientist or psychologist or a child development specialist. In truth, I see my role in this course as a facilitator rather than a teacher. I’m passionate about this topic and have spent a long time researching it. I have called upon my training in journalism to find the right sources, ask the right questions and assimilate the information in a way that is accurate and useful to other parents. While I share some of my experiences and opinions in the course, the focus is on what the experts and research tell us about parenting tweens and teens.
