Highlights from a wonderful week in London 🥰

After dinner at @soloskates’ house, we walked th

After dinner at @soloskates’ house, we walked through Hampstead Heath as the sun was setting. I was completely overcome by emotions. So many memories in this park of little boys on their balance bikes, and muddy wellies, and catching frisbees, and babies in a trusty red Bugaboo, nursing babies on benches, boys catching Crawdads in the ponds, picnics with friends, breakfasts at Kenwood, climbing trees, rainy walks and joyous sunny afternoons, and so so many specific memories. It felt like walking down a very familiar path… but as a different woman, revisiting a favourite chapter of my life but with the wealth of new experiences and life lessons. Life is so weird and wonderful, isn’t it?

Michael and I are writing a book! (I’ve just realised I haven’t properly shared about it here.)
We’ve been pouring our love and thoughts and lots of time into this project, and it has been so special to work so closely together this year, constantly jotting down thoughts and sharing ideas we’ve gathered (plus mistakes we’ve made!) from the last 20 years since we began our parenting journey. In this book we are sharing ideas for creating a happy, nurturing family home -- one that helps us slow down and spend more time together, embrace family rituals, encourage autonomy in our children, invite more play into our lives, and a whole host of other beautiful themes. I’ve been in LA with my friend and talented photographer @ameliarushforth for the last week to visit some inspiring and thoughtful family homes. It feels WONDERFUL to see it all come together and I can’t wait to share more with you. ☺️ (More sneak peeks of LA coming soon…!)

#ad As soon as we returned from our trip to the US a few weeks ago, I quickly created a @onceuponapp photo book with all our favourite photos from our time with family… and it arrived this week to a gaggle of excited children happy to be reminded of such fun memories!
